“What is the difference between tax avoidance, and tax evasion? Jail”
Aaron Traxton is a Certified Public Accountant who began his professional career with a boutique Certified Public Accountancy firm in Santa Monica, California, specializing in tax and audit services after graduating from California State University Northridge with a Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Business Administration with the added option of Accounting Practices and Theory.
Aaron’s next professional step was in a top 20 ranking large Certified Public Accountancy firm in Westwood, California, specializing in serving wealthy individuals and businesses in industries such as film, television, professional sports, real estate, financial services, health care, and hospitality industries providing tax services, management services, and consulting services in addition to its tax, accounting, and auditing services.
With an offer he couldn’t refuse, Aaron used his vast knowledge and skill set in the private company sector, which allowed him the additional experience of business growth and development in the media and construction industries.
Desiring a more family and quality focused environment to raise their beautiful children, Aaron and his wife Stacy moved their family from Southern California to the magical city of Lake Oswego, Oregon in the spectacular Pacific Northwest. Immediately upon arriving, they knew that this was where they were meant to be.
Aaron continued to work as a leader in the trade media industry, before returning to his Certified Public Accountant roots. He built, and continues to grow, his boutique firm in Lake Oswego, Oregon.
In addition to passionately protecting and representing his clients, Aaron thrives on giving back to his community in every way possible. He has coached youth sports for over twelve years, he is a past board member for the Lake Oswego Little League, he is a current board member of the Lake Oswego Junior Baseball League, he is a member and the Treasurer for Breast Friends which is a nonprofit organization to benefit cancer patients and support their families.
I have been told many times by Aaron’s clients that he is wonderfully different from any accountant or CPA that they have ever met. He is devoted to being an advocate for his clients. He has both the smarts AND the intelligence as one of the best in his field, with the caring compassion of a teacher taking the extra time and energy to make sure that his clients are not just represented but that they are educated and informed about their situational status both now and going into the future.
Interesting fact: When you see Aaron, the first impression is that of an experienced and seasoned professional. It surprises no one to know that he is a Certified Public Accountant. What does surprise most people, however, is that before Aaron was a Bachelor of Sciences Degree receiving college graduate, he was a plumber- Certified Water Conservation Retrofitter- who owned his own plumbing company known as Waterman. As Waterman, Aaron worked his way through college as a business owning plumber. Aaron tells business owners that he really does know about the joys, challenges, and growing pains that they are experiencing because he has definitely walked way over a mile in their shoes.
